MC’s Godde to present first International Luncheon program
MONMOUTH, Ill. — Associate professor of biology James Godde will present Monmouth College’s first International Luncheon lecture of the new academic year on Sept. 23 at noon in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the Stockdale Center.
Titled “Costa Rica: Encounters in the Wild,” Godde’s talk will highlight a spring break trip to the Central American country. He will be joined by several of the students from his “Wilderness: Rainforest Ecosystems” class who accompanied him. They will talk about the specific habitats that they visited during their week-long stay, as well as encounters with such creatures as bats, giant cave spiders, massive crocodiles and mischievous capuchins.
A buffet lunch, featuring international foods, is available. A meal ticket may be purchased for $7.50 in the food service office in Stockdale Center. Lunch reservations must be made in advance by calling 309-457-2149, but anyone may attend the presentation without obligation to purchase the meal.
