| The Fighting Scot women finished
third overall in the MWC track & field championships, held at Monmouth
College. Senior Amanda Colgan qualified for the National Meet in the
women's javelin. Newcomer Jamie Jones was a provisional qualifier in
the high jump. Colgan made the most of her trip, placing 4th in the
javelin with a career -best throw of 135-7. With her 4th-place
finish Colgan earned All-American honors. This marks the 14th year
at least one athlete from Monmouth has advanced to the Nationals. |
