Application
for Degree:
Candidates for the Bachelor of Arts
degree must make formal application to the Registrar one year (2 full
semesters) in advance of their expected graduation.
Requirements for the
Degree
In summary form,
these are the requirements for the degree:
1. Four years of academic work in which
the student earns at least 124 semester hours of credit. An average of C
(2.00) or higher must be obtained in course work taken at Monmouth
College. The senior residency requirement stipulates that after attaining
senior status (90 semester hours), at least 27 semester hours of the
remaining credits required for the degree must be granted by the College.
2. Completion of all general education
requirements with a passing grade. (Transfer students who enter Monmouth
College with 24 or more semester hours of credit will be exempt from
taking INTG 101.)
3. Completion of a major program with at
least a C- grade in all courses required for the major and an overall C
average (2.0) in those courses. (Certain majors have stricter
requirements. Read through the departmental descriptions carefully.)
Although minors are not required, in order to complete a minor, the grade
point average of courses in the minor program must be at least a 2.0 with
no grades below C-.
4. Payment of all current financial
obligations to the College.
