We believe that the world needs ethical leaders who possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to bring together ideas and people from multiple disciplines and perspectives. We support a curriculum that provides depth, breadth and integration of knowledge in an environment that builds character and promotes citizenship.
A Vision for Monmouth College, 2009
Our academic program is organized by disciplinary domains: the natural sciences, the humanities, the social sciences and the fine arts. Because we put a premium upon integrated learning, we offer a number of innovative interdisciplinary programs and we provide many points of connection across disciplines within the curriculum (in our general-studies program, in joint-majors such as biochemistry, and in the structure of our majors programs).
