Scot Ambassadors lead the majority of campus tours and serve as lunch and overnight hosts for visiting students. They also assist with numerous open houses and other recruiting events. I think that Cell Biology is different from any lab I’ve had because it’s really hands on and is a small lab section. I also really liked my Global Perspectives course because it was fun, laid back and equally interesting. 

What if you had a genie that granted one wish per day; how would you use them?
Honestly, I would want for children everywhere to have healthy, nourishing childhoods. Another would be for less crime in the world and less violence toward children.

My favorite class is Education 200 with Professor Hayes. This class was the first class I took for my major so that was exciting in itself and I loved Professor Hayes. She was very understanding and very compassionate to her students. I liked her style of critique and how she brought everyone out of their shells.

Introduction to Liberal Arts with Professor Susan Holm. She made us all so comfortable and really taught us to think like college students.

Who has been the most inspirational person in your life and why?
My grandpa. He came from nothing and became a big somebody, but he never disrespected along the way.

What if you were President for one day; what would you do?
Write my regular self an awesome letter of recommendation for law school.

Best college memory so far?
The walk-out was a fun way to start out the year and get to know my classmates. Plus, who doesn’t like free stuff?

Plans after college?
Find a psychology graduate program and then begin my search for a major league baseball player for a husband.

Something most people don’t know about you?
I love to go to the shooting range with my dad. I have my first practice target hanging in my room at home.

What is your favorite thing about Monmouth College?
I love that it takes me five minutes to walk to my farthest class. Also, in that five minute walk, I will see tons of people I know.

Favorite class and/or professor? Why?
Marlo Belschner, hands down. I had her for a class last year and I’m taking a class with her this year. She’s pretty cool and somehow, even more amazing than Mexican night in the cafeteria!

Unusual talent?
I can eat Taco Bell tacos in a very short period of time.

What is your favorite thing about Monmouth College?
I really like Monmouth’s size. Not only do you get to know the student body really well, but the faculty is also extremely accessible and personable.

Favorite place on campus?
The quad is so versatile. Everything from Family Weekend, Open Houses, Scots Day, and of course Ultimate Frisbee happens there.

If you could have a wild animal for a pet; what would you choose and why?
I would want a flying pig for two reasons. One, it’s cheap, easy transportation and two, people are always telling me that things will happen when pigs fly…I have a lot of dreams.

Competing at the national level for shot put. Coming in ranked 15th and taking 10th as a sophomore was exciting.
