What ACT/SAT scores are required for
admission?
Monmouth College urges all
students to apply. While important, test scores are not the "end all" of
the process. While the average ACT is 23, the middle half of our recent
entering classes have ranged between 21-26. Students may send us their results for more than one test, and
their highest score will be recorded. Monmouth College also accepts SAT
scores. What high school courses should I take to

What is most important in the
application?
The student's high school record
is the most important factor; however, no single element is ever viewed in
isolation. Monmouth is looking for strong and consistent performance in
school, on standardized tests, and in extracurricular activities.
Does Monmouth consider the difficulty
of a school or of advanced courses?
Yes. Completing a rigorous curriculum or a
very competitive school is impressive. Monmouth makes every attempt to
evaluate such factors.
How important is an interview?
Interviews are important; they help students get a clear and comprehensive picture of the College. Since interviews are not required, a student's chances for
admission are not jeopardized if he/she is unable to have one. You may
find it interesting to know that students are more likely to attend
Monmouth if he/she has visited.
