Personal Reflections:
I began attending Monmouth in the fall of 2004. I came in as
a transfer with junior status from a local community college.
Before I decided on Monmouth though, I visited some other
schools in fact, much larger than MC.
The large institutions that I
toured seemed to be very impersonal and overwhelming. From that
moment, I decided that I wanted to attend a smaller school where
I could really be part of a community.
Community is exactly what I got
when I came to Monmouth. I felt at home and everyone I dealt
with seemed sincere about helping me. After my visit to MC
concluded, I could tell that it was going to be the perfect fit
for me.
The only thing regrettable was
that I had just two years to spend at this great school.
Although, time was shorter for me than most students, I took
advantage of everything getting involved in as many things as
possible. Monmouth helped to broaden my horizons in many
different ways in and out of the classroom and for that, I am
grateful.
I had such a great experience
at Monmouth that after graduation I found myself boasting about
the college wherever I went. In fact, when the opportunity arose
to be an admission representative I jumped at the chance. My
hope is that I can take all the knowledge and memories gained
from MC to help others with their transition to college.
