Hometown: Rozetta, Illinois
Education: B.A., Government, Classics, French, Monmouth
College, 1993.
Territory: I work with transfer
students coming from all parts of the country. I also work with first-time
freshman and transfers who wish to enter Monmouth College in January. Most
recently, I have begun work with prospective international students and
students coming from Puerto Rico. Finally, I also oversee readmission for
any former MC student who wishes to return.
Best experiences at MC:
Kappa Kappa Gamma – My involvement with
Kappa was and continues to be a huge part of my life. Participation in a
sorority enabled me to gain valuable leadership and communication skills
through the various offices I held in the chapter. Today, I continue my
involvement as chapter advisor at Monmouth College. It’s a very rewarding
experience to get to work with bright, energetic, motivated and caring
young women!
Liberal Arts - I loved the fact that I was challenged to take course work
out of my comfort zone. I came in to Monmouth thinking I was going to be
an English Teacher. When I came out, I had a major in Government with
minors in Classics and French. My favorite classes included Professor
Haq’s Politics of Islam, Professor Suda’s Russian Literature and
Sienkewicz’s Classical God and Heroes.
Christmas Convocation at Monmouth – This is my favorite event of the year.
It brings together everyone in the campus community – students, faculty
and staff – to celebrate the season and its meaning. The sound of the
Chorale is spectacular. Looking around at others at the service always
reminds me how much of a family I have here at Monmouth.
Please call or email me anytime! I’ll be
glad to help with your questions!
