Hometown: Rozetta, Illinois
Education: B.A., Government, Classics, French, Monmouth
College, 1993.
Territory: I work with transfer students coming from all parts of
the country. I also work with first-time freshman and transfer students
who wish to enter Monmouth College in our spring semester, beginning
mid-January. Most recently, I am also responsible for international
student recruitment. Finally, I also oversee readmission for any former
students who wish to return to Monmouth College.
Best experiences at MC: I’m a 1993 graduate of Monmouth College
and have been working in the Office of Admission for eleven years! My
time as a student was filled with challenging and thought-provoking
classes, participation in music ensembles and various honor
organizations and Kappa Kappa Gamma. I can’t imagine where I would be
today without Monmouth. I’ve built my career here and met my husband of
15 years at Monmouth!
Liberal Arts – I loved the fact that I was challenged to take course
work outside of my comfort zone. I came into Monmouth thinking I was
going to be an English teacher. When I came out, I had a major in
Government and minors in Classics and French. My favorite classes
included Professor Haq’s Politics of Islam, Professor Suda’s Russian
Literature, and Professor Sienkewicz’s Classical Gods and Heroes.
I believe the most rewarding experience I’ve had at Monmouth through all
the years is having the privilege of helping students realize their
educational goals. We work very hard at Monmouth to provide our students
with a challenging curriculum and an engaging social environment that
will provide our students with the tools to lead very productive and
satisfying lives after graduation. When asked what makes Monmouth
College so different…by far it’s the people you encounter every day.
Whether you are a first-time visitor to campus or an alumnus coming back
for your 50th reunion, you are welcomed as a member of the Monmouth
College family.
