Personal Reflections:
I visited campus as a prospective student on a very cold, very snowy
February afternoon. As my family and I trudged through the snow on our
campus tour, we fought against the wind, cold, and ice to see the sites
of MC. Despite the unfavorable conditions, I knew immediately that
Monmouth was where I wanted to be. Everything from seeing students
having a snowball fight on Liedman lawn, to the engaging meetings I had
with professors in the English department, to the way I was
enthusiastically greeted by everyone I saw, told me that Monmouth
College was the community for me.
My four years at Monmouth went
by so quickly. So many of life’s big milestones happened for me on the
Monmouth campus…finding my passion for literature, making career goals,
making life-long friendships, gaining valuable leadership experience as
a member of Pi Beta Phi and as a resident assistant, meeting my husband,
and even getting married on the steps of Wallace Hall!
Today, I
realize what a privilege it is to serve students and the College by
working in the Monmouth College Office of Admission. As an alumna, I am
thrilled to have the opportunity to recruit students to Monmouth so that
they, too, can have a great MC experience.
I have had so many
extraordinary moments here at Monmouth. My mission is to help each new
student find his or her own extraordinary moments at Monmouth College. I
hope you’ll come to campus to discover what your Monmouth experience can
be!
