President Ditzler's 'The Spirit of the Midwest' Address Published

Homecoming is one of Monmouth College's most beloved traditions. Last October, President Ditzler instituted a brand new tradition, designed to kick off the weekend activities in style -- the President's Homecoming Gala.

Held in the magnificent Huff Athletic Center fieldhouse, the inaugural event, featuring a formal dinner, musical entertainment and a state-of-the-college address by President Ditzler, was a resounding success, according to the many alumni and friends who attended.

In remembrance of that evening, a commemorative booklet containing the president's remarks has been published. Plans are to make the booklet an annual publication that will be sent each year as a keepsake to members of the 1853 Society and McMichael Heritage Society (alumni and friends who give $1,000 or more each year to the Annual Fund and/or have made planned estate gifts and major contributions for buildings and the endowment).
