Future Scot:
Parker Lee Stine |
If you’ve received the
latest issue of Monmouth College Magazine, you’ve seen that the college
has made good on its promise to increase the number of pages reserved
for its Clan Notes section. The Fall 2008 issue featured numerous
updates on alumni from 1930 to 2008, plus nine wedding photos and 20
photos of “Future Scots.”
"When alumni receive the magazine in their mail, the first section many
of them turn to is Clan Notes," said J. Lance Cavanaugh, vice president
for development and college relations. "Alumni enjoy reading about their
friends and classmates, and finding out what’s happening in their lives.
Since the primary audience of this publication is alumni, we have
decided to expand the Clan Notes section. We want more alumni to send in
their news and updates – that will make the Clan Notes section even more
informative and fun to read."
Entries in Clan Notes can include new jobs, awards, interesting stories,
recent trips with other alumni friends, new academic degrees earned,
weddings, births, etc. Alumni can share their news three ways:
1. Mail a letter to Clan Notes, Office of Development and College
Relations, 700 E. Broadway, Monmouth, IL 61462.
2. Send an e-mail message to
alumni@monm.edu.
3. Submit an update on-line at
www.monm.edu/alumni/clannotes/.
Color and black-and–white photos are welcome and encouraged. Photos can
be of you; a group shot of MC alumni at a wedding, event, or on a trip;
or your newborn children. Accompanying electronic images should also be
e-mailed to the MC development and college relations staff
(alumni@monm.edu). If the images are
already digital, send the original, unedited file from the camera or CD;
if scanning, do so at a minimum of 300 dpi at 100 percent of size.
Please provide caption information, clearly matching names and faces,
along with the date and location of the photo, if known.
To appear in the next issue of the magazine, please submit your Clan
Notes items by Jan. 23.
