A meaningful way for alumni and friends to participate in supporting the April Zorn Memorial Stadium project is to sponsor one or more red club seats.

The 144 red seats are located in the top rows of the home stands between the 40-yard lines.  Some alumni are sponsoring two seats – one for themselves and one for their spouse.  Others are sponsoring one seat in their name or in the name of a friend, son or daughter who was a Monmouth College athlete. 

Alumni and friends can sponsor a seat by making a charitable gift or pledge of $1,000 to the college.  These gifts are tax deductible.  Nameplates will be installed on the seats this summer before the official dedication of April Zorn Memorial Stadium on Sept. 5, when the Scots open the 2009 football season against Loras College.

Two major donors pledged over $2.35 million in support of the stadium renovation.  Phase I construction of new home and visitor stands and the indoor press box and suites was completed last summer in time for the first home football game.  Phase II construction is planned to begin this summer with the installation of a new synthetic turf field and stadium lights for evening activities.  The college hopes to find one or more major donors to sponsor a new scoreboard.
