Paul was born in
Earlville, IL. He was an independent insurance broker for over 20
years, as a partner of Westfield Ventures. Prior to that, he spent
over 23 years with Western Electric Company, retiring as Department
Chief of Development Engineering. He had been a Scoutmaster of Boy
Scout Troop 56 and was a founding officer and board member of the
Historic Landmarks Foundation, as well as a part Board Chairman of
the Jordan YMCA.
He was an Ordained
Elder of the Presbyterian Church and a member of Second Presbyterian
Church for over 25 years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite,
Indianapolis Valley and Meridian Lodge 183, Earlville, IL. He was a
graduate of Monmouth College. He was also a Founding Member of The
American Air Museum in Britain, located at Duxford, England.
Paul had been married
for over 50 years to Rica Tubbs Miller '50 who preceded him in
December 2000. Paul's brothers, Donald Miller '45 (deceased) and
Gordon Miller '50 also attended Monmouth College.

Gordon was Paul Miller's twin brother.
Harlow Gordon Miller,
78, of Groveland Road, NY, died June 28, at the Teresa House in
Geneseo, NY.
Mr Miller was born in
Earlville on August 26, 1928, the son of Harlow and Zoe (Aitken)
Miller. He married Verdelle Pratt.
Mr. Miller served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952 and in the Army
Reserve from 1952 to 1957. He was a graduate of Monmouth College and
earned a Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University
and a Master of Fine Arts from the State University of Iowa at Iowa
City.
He joined the State University of New York -- Geneseo Art Department
in 1961 as an assistant professor. He was promoted to full professor
in 1975 and retired in 1988. During his tenure at Geneseo, he was
recognized for a number of accomplishments, including the
Chancellor's Excellence in Teaching Award in 1975. Among his body of
work are a portrait he painted of Dr. James V. Struges, the
principal of Geneseo State Normal School from 1905 to 1921, and
contemporary graphic artwork that was exhibited in Moscow in 1973.
He is survived by his wife, Verdelle Miller; a daughter, Ann Miller
of Geneseo; a son, Fouglas (Lynn) Miller of Tacoma, Wash; a
grandson, David Miller of Tacoma, Wash; three step-granddaughters; a
sister, Arlene (Stan) Wright of Harding; a brother, Ronald (Kathy)
Miller of Plano; and several nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be scheduled later.
