Fellow Classmates,
It's that time of
year again. School is back in session, the air is getting cooler, and
the days shorter; which could mean only one thing, football season.
MC's Homecoming is
just around the corner, October 20-22. There are various activities
planned; the parade, of course the football game vs Lake Forest, and
also a reception honoring Doc Kieft from the chemistry department who is
going into semi-retirement, among many others.
I hope many of you
plan to make the journey back to MC to see old friends and support our
Fighting Scots. I unfortunately will not be able to attend as I will be
attending the wedding of fellow alums, Bill Van Leeuwen and Brandi
McCoy.
Also, I just want
to send a big congratulations out to Aaron and Jen Wright (Lehman) (both
'04) on the birth of their first child, a healthy baby girl, Abigail
Jane, (I hope I spelled that right), who they welcomed into the world on
August 26th.

States Department of Agriculture, Peoria, Illinois. Received Masters of
Science in Biology in 2006 from Western Illinois University. Received
Graduate Certificate in Zoology and Aquarium Studies in 2006 from
Western Illinois University. Attending the University of Illinois
College of Veterinary Medicine at Champaign-Urbana in August, 2007.

Jennifer (Nendza) '03 and I were married
May 6, 2006 in Palatine, IL.
I am attending the
UIC School of Medicine Rockford Extension and we will be living in
Rockford for two more years. Jennifer is working as a Medical
Technologist with OSF St. Anthony's Medical Center in Rockford and
enjoys her work very much.
We still have our
bunny, Dusty, and we have added a kitten named Tony to our family. We
miss seeing everyone from Monmouth, and hope that some of you will
email us sometime to give us an update on what is going on with your
lives.

I recently completed my Master's at
Western and Brian Krier (05') and I have moved to Port Byron, Illinois.
Brian is teaching
P.E. and Health at the Riverdale School District. He also coaches
football and basketball. I took a position with Aflac (yes, the duck),
and am very happy. We set a wedding date for August 4, 2007.
We will be back
for Homecoming and hope to see everyone! We love being "all grown up",
but there are things we always miss about undergrad!

I finished grad
school in mid-July and I was offered a position the same week as my last
class of grad school. It has been a busy time for me.
I recently moved to Sterling and I am
trying to adjust to a new move and a new job. I work with children ages
7-10 and I enjoy it immensely. I am currently working under a grant so I
am responsible for a lot of different things including research and
collecting data.
I still play and coach softball and I
am actually about to start coaching a three-year-old soccer team, so
that should be fun.
