Monmouth College Rents One-Room School House for Fall Classes April 1, 1856 |
 After three years of educating our students
in temporary facilities, Monmouth College has rented a one room school
house located at the corner of Garden and East Streets to conduct
classes for the fall of 1856.
A new college building is being built on a lot donated by trustee Abner Harding.
