Monmouth College is one of the 700 schools involved with St. Judes’ Up ’till Dawn program along with Western Illinois University and Millikin University.

According to Kyle Schierer, sophomore and participant of Up ’till Dawn, “The best part so far has been being able to visit the hospital and playing with the kids.”

Up ’till Dawn is a student-led, student-run fund raising program hosted by colleges and universities nationwide. It is a great way to help raise money for children who suffer from cancer and many other chronic diseases.

The program raises money for St. Judes’ Children Research Hospital through writing letters and donating money.

MC has a set a $21,000 goal for the program, and as of this time, Up ‘till Dawn has raised $600. They hope to raise the remaining goal after all the letters have been sent out.

All proceeds raised will benefit children and doctors in local area hospitals through patient treatment and research.

Schierer helped to start this program at MC by writing a paper for a class and then putting it into action.
