Rumor has it...
Putting a stop to campus gossip
In recent weeks there have been numerous rumors on the MC campus that have proven to be false and Mohsin Masood, associate dean of students, would like to address these serious issues.
The first rumor began after students returned from Fall Break and focused on a man from Galesburg, who was seen in the library viewing pornographic material at a public workstation.
After being spotted by a librarian, she called campus police to apprehend the man. However, by the time help arrived the man was gone, but he was searched for by MC security.

Putting out the Fire
On Saturday, Nov. 5, Monmouth and Knox College will face-off in their 107th football game in college history. Monmouth seeks to clinch its 7th consecutive win.
Ranked the fourth oldest rivalry among Division III schools and sixth overall in college football, the Monmouth vs. Knox football game draws people from both schools onto one field.
According to Jeff Rankin, director of college communications, the rivalry started long before 1888, which is the date most people think it started. Read More...
Honorable Mention
Senior Anthony Welty was recently honored, out of 52 Illinois college students, by the Lincoln Academy of Illinois on October 22 at the Old State Capitol in Springfield.
Given out each year to one student from every four-year college and university in Illinois, the title is attributed to students who show exceptional skills in both academic and extracurricular activities. Read More...
