Fraternities help fight hunger

As the community started getting ready for the children to come trick-or-treating, the MC fraternities prepared for the many philanthropy events that were going to take place last weekend.

On Friday, Oct. 28, Sigma Phi Epsilon hosted a Haunted House for the community as well as the college campus, asking for non-perishable food items as an entrance fee.

On Saturday night, the men of Zeta Beta Tau assisted the Orpheum Theater Haunted House in Galesburg.

Although the weekend had come to an end, the activities did not stop there.

On Halloween, the men of Alpha Tau Omega joined the women of Pi Beta Phi by trick-or-treating for canned goods.

Also trick-or-treating for hunger that night were the men of Zeta Beta Tau.

The food items that were collected went to the Starting Point shelter in Monmouth.

MC’s Greeks has once again shown the dedication it has put forth in serving the community.
