Pressroom gets new look

During the Fourth of July weekend at Monmouth College, the Student Publications pressroom, located in Lower Level Stockdale, suffered a substantial amount of damage due to the breakage of a pipeline.

According to Earl Wilfong, newly hired director of facilities management, there was a split in a plastic pipeline, which fed into the mixing chamber of the orange juice machine.

In addition, the pipeline traveled over the ceiling of the pressroom and, as a result, the water leakage caused problems. Read More...

Party time

“Let the Good Times Roll” is this year’s Homecoming theme, which will be held on the weekend of Oct. 21 through 23, and is full of activities for students, alumni, community and will include the Inauguration of our 13th president, Mauri Ditzler.

The events for the weekend are organized by the Association for Student Activity Program-ming members, (ASAP): Stephanie Kennedy, assistant director of campus events/-McMichael hall director and sophomores Joanna Martorelli and Sarah Mendez. Read More...

During the week of October 3 through 6, 2005, Monmouth College’s Information Systems Center will hold its biannual Computer Security Awareness Week

During the 30 minute presentation, students will have the chance to learn basic steps that every computer user should follow to avoid security problems. Tips including but not limited to the importance of anti-virus and anti-spy ware software, firewalls, and windows operating systems will be given during the presentation. Read More...
