Ashley Yeast

Sophomore Ashley Yeast has made a name for herself in the Midwest Conference and for Monmouth College women’s basketball. Yeast earned herself a Midwest Conference Performer of the Week for thte Scots, being the first woman to earn that honor for Monmouth since Melissa Jones. She put together high rebounding games of 15 against Illinois College, 14, against Lawrence, and 15 against St. Norbert. The sophomore helped the Scots win 2 out of 3 last week, which included an upset over first place Lawrence. She posted double doubles in two of the three games, which gives her 11 on the year. Yeast is leading the leauge in rebounds with 209, averaging 11.8 a game. She is currently 11th in the nation in rebounds.

Joe Terwelp

Sophomore Joe Terwelp has been a dominate force for the Scots inside game.

This year Terwelp has stepped up his game big time for the Scots and leads them in most catagories.

The sophomore has scored 232 points this season making 64% of his shots from the field.

He also leads the Scots in rebounds with 114 and averaging seven a game.

Terwelp has 18 steals this season which also leads the Scots.

As a sophomore, Terwelp gives the Scots reason for hope in the years to come even during this rough season.

His post presence has been one of physicallity and dominance and in his two years at MC, he has quickly become the teams best post player.

Teamng up with David Price the two have become a formatable duo.
