A dual farewell to the Draves
In the eyes of a Monmouth College science major, students know exactly who I am talking about when I mention the names Jeffrey and Patricia Draves.
Patricia Draves, current chair of the biochemistry department and associate professor of chemistry, and Jeffrey Draves, chair and associate professor of the chemistry department, will be leaving Monmouth College at the end of the spring semester.
Starting in August 2002, Monmouth College was fortunate to have Patricia teach the courses of general chemistry, biochemistry, advanced biochemistry, Issues and Ideas, Introduction to Liberal Arts (ILA) and an honors course.
Jeffrey teaches the upper division physical chemistry, introduction to environmental science, ILA and the cultural chemistry courses. Read More...
Monmouth-Knox rivalry escalates
Monmouth and Knox College have had a rivalry for years, but one MC student is regretting taking it too far.
Two weeks ago, Monmouth hosted Knox College in the annual men’s and women’s basketball games.
At the start of the game, the announcer read the “Statement of Spectator Behavior.” The beginning of this statement states “we promote courteous and respectful behavior by student athletes, coaches and spectators.” Read More...
Prospectives on campus
College decisions can be tough, but watching current music students perform in a concert may have made some high school seniors’ decisions a bit easier.
These students saw a concert performed by two MC musical groups on Saturday, Feb. 4 and 11, in the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium.
