Now Playing:

“Freedomland”

- Samuel L. Jackson and Julianne Moore star in this missing persons thriller that seems to be a pastiche of previous Moore and Jackson flicks, notably “The Forgotten.” Hopefully, this one lacks a ludricrous twist ending.

“Date Movie”

- Finally! A spoof of romantic comedies, a genre that has become so full of itself of late that it needs to be taken down a few pegs. Too bad this wasn’t around for Valentine’s Day, though.

“Eight Below”

- Looks like Paul Walker’s career has gone to the dogs! Get it? I crack myself up...

On DVD:

“Saw II”

- The sequel to the horror hit is now on DVD for gore fans to enjoy in all its disgusting glory in the comfort of their own home.

“Quick Change”

- Arguably Bill Murray’s most underrated movie, his directorial debut from 1990 is a caper comedy featuring Geena Davis and Randy Quaid as a motley group of bank robbers who cannot escape the bank.

“He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Season One, Vol. 2”

- A childhood favorite is now on DVD to enjoy in marathon sessions. Random thought: does anyone else think Dick Cheney resembles Skeletor?
