Scots go 2-2 against Prairie Fire

But clinch playoff berth

After a stellar 24-9 record in the 2005 season, the Monmouth College baseball team has suffered a drop off in 2006. The Fighting Scots lost most of their starting infield to graduation at the start of the season. Coach Roger Sander had to replace first and second base, the shortstop position, and suffered the loss of one of his starting pitchers, who decided to transfer, last minute, at the end of first semester this year. The Fighting Scots currently stand at 17-15 overall and have a 7-3 record against Midwest Conference opponents.   Read More...

This past weekend, April 29 and 30, the Monmouth College men’s golf team competed in the Midwest Conference South Division Tournament. The two day tournament was hosted by Monmouth College on the first day at Gibson Woods Golf Course, then continued the second day at Grinnell Golf and Country Club in Grinnell, Iowa.  Read More...

Slumping Scots: Softball drops last four

The Fighting Scots' softball team had a very rough end of the season, as they lost seven of their last nine games. This includes losing their last four in two doubleheaders, the first against Illinois College and the second against Grinnell College.

The outdoor track season has been a successful one for the Monmouth College Fighting Scots. In their four meets this season, the MC men have placed first or second.

A season for the record books

The Monmouth College men’s tennis team ended its regular season with a 22-8 record by beating St. Norbert College and taking third in the Midwest Conference.

Their impressive record was over twice as many victories as their previous best in a season, which was nine. Read More...
