As seniors begin their last year at Monmouth College, figuring out where to start a career search can create both excitement and uncertainty. If you are a junior, internships are usually on the horizon. Freshmen and sophomores, although the future seems far off and uncertain, you can always begin exploring different career choices. It is never too early to start.

This year, the Wackerle Career and Leadership Center is introducing a new program, WackerleTrack, to make it easier for students to search for an array of jobs with just the click of a mouse.

WackerleTrack is a job search site where students can look for jobs. It is designed specifically to meet the career development needs of MC students and does so by performing a smaller, more intimate job search, sensitive to the needs of Monmouth College students. Monmouth College faculty can also register and view events and check out job search engines.

The site has a range of options for students to explore in addition to job searching. Resume posting is now available on WackerleTrack. This option allows students to post resumes and add them to resume books. This step in the job search process allows employers to see resumes from students at Monmouth College, creating a better opportunity for students to be viewed by a greater number of employers.

WackerleTrack can also help students and faculty stay updated on all upcoming events the Wackerle Career and Leadership Center sponsors. This gives everyone in the Monmouth College community the opportunity to stay informed about workshops, job fairs and all other Wackerle Center programs. This page not only allows students and faculty to view a calendar of events offered on campus, but includes other events sponsored by the Illinois Small College Placement Association (ISCPA).

The site is also designed to help those students not yet ready for a career, search for internships and jobs in the community, both on and off campus.

The career fair page has information on upcoming local job fairs and those in surrounding areas. This page is updated regularly so students can stay current on what job fairs are offered and where to go to be a part of them.

The goal of WackerleTrack is to make a difference in the job search process and to keep all students and faculty updated on upcoming Monmouth College events. It is a helpful tool that can make the job searching journey just a little bit easier.

WackerleTrack is now available for student and faculty registration. To join WackerleTrack, visit www.monm.edu/wackerletrack, and get a head start on your career.
