Go home with GAMMA

Greeks Advocating Mature Management of Alcohol (GAMMA) began the Safe Ride Program two years ago under the leadership of Brandon Fuhr. Teamed with Maple City Cab Company, anyone (you don’t have to belong to a Greek organization!) who can show a student ID to the cab driver only pays 25 cents per ride compared to the normal fee of $3. GAMMA covers the extra $2.75 per person that the student does not pay.

The 25-cent cab rides are from the bars to the campus only and not vice versa. The cabs will run every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings from any bar in Monmouth.

The number for Maple City Cab Company is (309)734-6369 if there is no cab available at the time of departure.

Be sure to show a Monmouth College ID to get the discount. The purpose of the program is to promote alcohol safety.

For more information on GAMMA or the Safe Ride Program, contact Sarah Pickrel at X3573 or spickrel@monm.edu. GAMMA also has bimonthly meetings on Tuesday nights for those interested in attending.
