Football
remains unbeaten in conference
On Saturday, Sept. 16, the Monmouth College Fighting Scots headed to Beloit College to face the Buccaneers. The Scots had their best game of the year, defeating the Buccaneers 31-0.
MC’s defense got its first shutout of the season, allowing only 177 total yards to the Buccaneers. The Scots’ pass defense was particularly impressive, yielding only 54 yards. The Scots recorded two sacks and also intercepted two Beloit pass attempts. Read More...

eyes on prize

CHEERS to the Pac-10 for recognizing that the officials made a mistake in the Sept. 16 contest between Oklahoma and Oregon, which ultimately cost Oklahoma the game. Perhaps if NCAA replay officials were able to freeze the replays and zoom in, this error never would have occurred. Too bad for the Sooners. Read More...

Despite their .500 record the Scots’ soccer team’s attitude is monumentally different, according to sophomore midfielder Matt Montgomery. Sophomore Dustin Looney says, “We are playing as a team this year; that attitude was absent last year.” Read More...
