Reality Check: “Model” Mania

Top 5 contestants on “America’s Next Top Model” for you to keep your eyes on!

1) Brooke

Why she’s a “Top” contender: Now that her plain blonde locks have been coated in a more alluring dark chocolaty shade, her inner fierceness and elegance are sure to shine outward despite her immaturity--well, it has to be tough being the only contestant that’s still in high school, right? No more pep rallies for you, kiddo.

2) Anchal

Why she’s a “Top” contender: If Anchal were to ever pose for a swimsuit calendar spread, she would easily find her niche as Miss March. The Indian beauty has roared like a lion when unnecessary drama has crept into the loft (such as her enraged confrontation with phone-hogging diva Monique), but has pulled back to reveal her gentle lamb softness at every challenge. Some might call it “bipolar,” but the industry calls it stunning!

3) Michelle

Why she’s a “Top” contender: The stronger half of the twin pair (sister Amanda has some catching up to do), her controversial “bulimic model” photo shoot proved that she is not afraid to take any obstacle thrown her way, and she seems endlessly hungry for more. Get it? Bulimic--hungry--never mind.

4) Jaeda

Why she’s a “Top” contender: Hailed as “the most handsome” girl in the bunch by host Tyra Banks, Jaeda’s androgynous mystique, a mix of masculine facial features and feminine captivation, gives her the unique character that so many of the young ladies this season lack. Transsexuals of the world, you’ve found your mascot!

5) A.J.

Why she’s a “Top” contender: Her short and rebellious, almost punk rocker pixie-esque, hairdo, has lost its spikes for a more smooth swipe to them, and although her attitude towards the makeover showed off a less than winning personality, she has the qualifications (and the intensely superb portfolio) to potentially make it all the way to the end.
