Sudas and
company bring music to our ears
This weekend the music department features two concerts being performed at the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium, being a faculty performance on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and an orchestra and winds concert on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Both are free admission.
On Saturday night, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kasch Performance Hall of the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium, a quartet of music faculty will present a chamber music recital.
This concert features David Suda, professor of humanities, on the violin; Carolyn Suda, director of strings, on the cello; Stephen Richter, director of instrumental activities, on the clarinet; and Ian Moschenross, assistant professor of music, on the piano. Read More...

On Sunday, Nov. 12, the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium will provide a night of divine song and boisterous, holy celebration, as Monmouth College hosts its traditional “Fall Gospel Music Festival” from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. The program is sponsored by the office of intercultural life, headed by director Rubi Pentsil-Bukari, and the office of the Chaplain, overseen by the Rev. Yesterday, Nov. 9th, on a beautiful summer-like day, I ate lunch
at a small, locally-owned restaurant, Maple City Family Restaurant.
Although the food did not shine as much as the sun on this unusually
warm day, the restaurant was not horrible and it definitely was
reasonably priced.
