What is your major?

English

What’s your hometown?

Lansing, Ill.

Do you have any favorite MC moments or memories?

Being in “Proof” was fun. I enjoyed all of the English major parties. Just walking around campus in the fall.

Do you have any plans for after graduation?

I’ve applied to the Peace Corps and maybe will apply to grad school. Possibly law school. If I go to grad school, it would be for something English-related.

What made you think of the Peace Corps?

I’ve always found travel interesting. But this would be traveling with the intent to do good somewhere. It’s standing on your own feet.

What all have you done within the English department here?

I am the editor-in-chief for “The Coil,” and also had that position last year. When I wasn’t the editor, I submitted material to “The Coil.” It’s exciting to see other people’s work.

Is there anything you’re going to miss about Monmouth?

I am going to miss the atmosphere, the romantic idea of reading a book or smoking a cigarette. I’ll miss how much knowledge is at your fingertips.

Is there any advice you could give students who will still be here?

Take more walks around campus while you have the chance.
