What is your home town?

Rockford, Ill.

What is your major?

English, with a Classics minor.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

I’m moving to Chicago to keep my gorgeous girlfriend company. The job market is terrible in Rockford, so I’m trying to get a job in publications or an editing position, but I wouldn’t mind working at a library, a book shop or as a barista at a coffee shop either.

Do you have a favorite professor or department?

Now that would be telling. Everyone knows that my heart, as well as my soul, belongs to the English department, but I think that Willhardt would be embarrassed if I mentioned him as my favourite. Appelbaum, Belschner, Hale and Roberts would probably feel left out too. They’re all my favourites [sic].

How has it been working with The Courier?

I work at The Courier? I hear they have a great, close-knit staff. It’s really like a family. Michelle’s the mother, Kyle’s the father, and everyone else are the brothers and sisters. Ian’s the adopted one, but no one really tells him that.

What activities are you involved with on campus besides The Courier?

I sleep, read and then live in the library smoking and drinking coffee. It isn’t that exciting on paper.

How do you feel about Wilhardt being on sabbatical your last semester here?Who?

He still teaches here? I suppose it makes me sad.
