What is your major and where is your hometown?

Major: Elementary Education with a concentration in communication and the theater arts.
Hometown: Paw Paw, Ill.

What activities are you involved in at MC?

Orientation Leader, Alpha Xi Delta, Student Chaplains, A.S.A.P., SOS, ASB, Student Senate Representative, Student Affairs Faculty Committee.

 Who are your favorite professors?

My favorite professors are Grimm, Hayes, Vivian, Gibson, and Medrano because they helped me in some way with my academic career.   My favorite faculty members are Dean Condon and Karen Ogorzalek for showing me that I can do anything I believe in!  Dian Henson for being an awesome Secretary and holding down the Stockdale offices on a daily basis.  Kim, Bruce, and Steve from the Cafeteria because they make meals fun. Jill the custodian from Fulton because she cares so much about the students.

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class was Vivian’s Educational Psychology because it was so engaging, and I learned a lot without even using a book!

What are your plans after graduation?

After Graduation I plan on going to Graduate School and go into College Student Personel and eventually work at a College.  If that doesn’t work out, then I will become an Elementary Teacher and teach little ones.  Whichever path I take, I know I will be happy and successful.  I would like to say thank you to all of my educators who have taught me well.

What will you miss most about MC?

I will miss seeing all of my friend’s everyday; I will miss my Alpha Xi Delta sisters. Most of all, I will miss rolling out of bed and going straight to class in sweatpants, which will not happen in the real world.

What is your proudest accomplishment at MC?

My proudest accomplishments have been through the organizations I have been a part of.  I have become a strong leader and have grown to become a mature young woman through all of my experiences.  I am proud to be recognized as the Homecoming Queen and the first Greek Woman of Monmouth College.  I have been recognized as Outstanding Member for A.S.A.P, Excellence award in being an Orientation Leader for three years and Outstanding Member for Alpha Xi Delta.
