Jennifer Drendel

Jenifer Drendel is a history and secondary education major from Hampshire, IL.

She is involved in Phi Alpha Theta (where she serves as the president), Mortar Board, Blue Key, Kappa Delta Pi and History Club, as well as a few others.

Her favorite professors are the history professors, especially the Corderys. Her favorite class is TA-ing in the current ILA class, as it gives her a chance to help teach a college course, and it is a really fun experience.

After graduation, Drendel hopes to teach middle school history, possibly back home, but most likely wherever she can get hired. She is really excited to have her own classroom and work with students.

What she will miss most about Monmouth College are her friends and professors. “I have managed to form some great friendships here at Monmouth and have a lot of lasting memories from campus. I will miss the professors, too, as they are always so friendly, and they are part of the reason I have learned so much in my four years,” stated Drendel.

She says that her proudest Monmouth College accomplishment was, “finishing the History 300 course and my major paper. It was a challenging class that involved a lot of time researching. However, I learned a lot from the course and was proud of my paper because of all the time and effort I put into writing and researching.”
