Senior Crystal Badley is a psychology major who resides in Joliet, IL.

She is extremely involved around campus. She is the Public Relations Chair of the Associate Students of Monmouth College (ASMC). Also, she is a Residence Assistant at Leidman Hall and a “proud member of the Beta Epsilon chapter of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.

Crystal’s favorite professors on campus are: Anne Mamary, Steve Buban, Kristan Larson and Joan Wertz. “They all have been there for me on a personal level as well as on an academic level.”

Her favorite class was Social Psychology. She enjoyed the class because she loves people and knowing why they exist in the ways that they do.

After graduation, Crystal plans to seek a carrer in a student affairs administration or in the human resources field.

When asked what she will miss most about Monmouth College, she responded, “I will miss my sorority sisters and all the friends I have made at Monmouth. The random runs to Wal-Mart and Steak and Shake, as well as the ability to get from one place that I have to be to another in less than three minutes.”

Miss Badley has many proud accomplishments from her time here. “First, becoming a member of a sorority that has meant the world to me. As well as becoming engaged (in a wonderful way that I never dreamed possible), and, of course, making it as far as I am now and being fully prepared to graduate!”

Crystal’s good friend Jessica Thomas commented, “Crystal is one of the most amazing girls I know.  She is very dedicated to her work and even more dedicated to her friends.  She is one of those people who will go out of their way to help you out.  Even if she is swamped with work and has 3 papers due, she will stop everything and help you in any way she can.  She is also one of the most genuine people I know.  She truly wants the best for every organization she is in and every person she encounters. Crystal is also a lot of fun.  She is always up for a road-trip or adventure to Galesburg or Davenport, and she always manages to make it fun.  Whether it’s singing loudly in the car (thank God she can actually sing) or telling her most recent funny story, she is always a good time!”

Crystal’s fiancé, senior Matt Faron, is greatly looking forward to starting their new life together after graduation. “Crystal works so very hard and is extremely dedicated to everything that she does. She is extremely involved around campus and loves being busy with activities that are important and helpful.”
