On Friday, Nov. 6, the sounds of electric blues, power pop, and metal will be heard from Dahl Chapel.

Lucky Boys Confusion, a band loved by some Monmouth College students, will be playing in the Dahl Chapel from 8-11 p.m. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and admission will be free to the public.

Lucky Boys Confusion was formed in 1997 when members Kaustubh Pandav and Adam Krier began writing songs together. The members are from Downers Grove and Naperville, like many Monmouth College students.

Members of the band include Kaustubh Pandav singing vocals, Adam Krier as co-vocalist and guitar, Ryan Fergus on the drums, Jason Shultejann playing bass, and Joe Sell playing the guitar. The theme of their lyrics are generally about Pandav’s experiences growing up with recent immigrants to the U.S.

Lucky Boys Confusion currently has nine albums released and can be heard on their MySpace, along with iTunes and Amazon. Their music is a mix of punk, ska, and hip hop.

"I am excited to have them here," said organizer of the show and Association for Student Activity Programming (ASAP) member Emilee Wilde. "It is something different than what we normally bring, because they are a bigger band and students on campus do know who they are and the music that they play. Having them here is just something else that we are checking off of the list of things that the students wanted to have."

ASAP is in charge of most activities on the Monmouth College campus and they hope to bring what students like.

"We as an ASAP board help in the decision making, but ultimately it is the campus decision that is the larger part," said Wilde.
