Aquatics Activities:

Warm-ups-treading water for 1 minute.

Swimming-back stroke

Swimming with kick board

Swimming- free style

Equipment need for activities:

Kick board

Stop watch

Teaching cues:

Hands cupped

Flutter legs like a butterfly

Reach for an apple

Assessment techniques used:

Time how long it takes for Joan to complete 2 lengths of the pool.

Reflection of aquatics’ objective(s): Joan worked really hard on the different strokes, freestyle and back stroke. She enjoyed treading water, and the kick board. My teaching cues were okay, but I used another cue for the freestyle- “stretch and cup”. Joan struggled completing the 2 lengths in 5 minutes-her time was 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
