Fitness Lesson- Goals/Objectives

Fitness Goal: Joan will improve her muscular strength by using the machines in the fitness room. Joan will increase her strength so that she can do 3 sets of 12 reps for each weight machine.

Fitness Objective (1) for week: Joan will be able to do the leg press and lift 95 lbs for 12 repetitions.

Fitness Objective (2) for week: Joan will be able to do the bench press and lift 50 lbs for 12 repetitions.

Fitness Activities:

Stretching-upper and lower body

Lifting using machines-lower & upper body (6 machines)

Treadmill for a cool down

Equipment need for activities:

Machines in fitness room

Teaching cues:

Breath on the push phase

Full range of motion

 

Assessment techniques used:

Count the number of repetitions Joan does.

Reflection of fitness objective(s): Joan used all of the machines (leg press 95 lbs, seated rows 30lbs, leg extension 45 lbs, pull ups 3 @ 100lbs, bench press 40 lbs, leg curls 20lbs). My cues worked well. On the treadmill Joan walked for 3 minutes at a pace of 2.5. She did really well and followed my directions.
