How do I purchase
my books?
Text books and supplies can be purchased by bringing the student's
schedule to the Monmouth College bookstore.
Where can I get a
transcript?
Unofficial transcripts are for current students and
for internal use. Students can access their own records online using the web-based student
access system. Most employers and graduate schools or scholarship organizations will want to
have an official transcript, which is printed on formal security safe paper, signed by the
registrar and sealed with the college emblem. The cost for official transcripts is $3 per
copy.
Requests for
official transcripts must be received in writing with a legal signature from the
student. E-mailed requests are not accepted at this time. Letters, faxes, and forms filled out
in person are all accepted ways of requesting a transcript. The requestor must include full
name, dates of attendance, social security number, current address and directions on where the
transcripts should be mailed. Turnaround time is generally 3-4 days.
What Clan does the Monmouth College
tartan originate from?
Until several years ago, the MC tartan was a hunting tartan of the Menzies Clan, primarily for
the reason that it was a simple red-and-white design representing the college colors. The
College had our own tartan commissioned and registered it with the Lord Lyon of Scotland. It
still includes the original colors of red and white, but introduced black to give it added
dimension. While it is similar to the Cunningham tartan,
among others, the new Monmouth College tartan was designed specifically for the college and is
officially known as "MC1." The college is retaining the red and white Menzies hunting tartan
as its "ancient" colors.

Travel directions are found in the About Us section of the website, directions to
athletic facilities are found in the sports section.
