Throughout their lives, the late William
and Arlene Snow LeSuer, who both graduated from Monmouth with science
degrees in 1942, gave generously and consistently to their alma mater.
They provided financial support for the construction of the
Haldeman-Thiessen Science Center in 1970, and a more recent gift
provided resources to obtain a 16.5-acre tract of land on the
northeast edge of Monmouth that is now called the LeSuer Nature
Preserve.
In the fall of 1999, the LeSuers died
