Beginning in the Fall of 2008 for
New Students at Monmouth College
Backed by monetary gifts from our alumni, the comprehensive Monmouth
Plan provides new students the opportunity to study at Monmouth
by significantly reducing their out-of-pocket costs.
Let's begin the Monmouth Plan math:
It starts with guaranteed minimum grants of at least $9,000* per
year!
Add to that guarantee the opportunity to receive additional
scholarships ranging from $1,250 - $5000 per year based on your
academic accomplishments.
Perhaps add another $1,000 - $3,000 for your talent and
participation in music, theatre or art with a successful audition.
(Our Fine Arts auditions take place in February. Call our Admission
Office to arrange an audition time.)
If you have a sibling in your household attending college
full-time at the same time that you are, then add another $1,000
grant.
Additional need-based grants are available to students who
qualify based on the results of the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA).
*We believe in the value of a four-year residential academic
experience and therefore the guaranteed grant is for entering freshman
students who choose to live and eat on campus.
The grant will be tiered for those entering as transfer
students or those choosing to live off campus and/or not participate
in a meal plan.
The guarantee of $9,000 per year is awarded to students with a family
Adjusted Gross Income of less than $250,000 and is made by combining
Monmouth College and State of Illinois monies.
