Betty Oberstar was one of the first women from Monmouth College's Nationally Reputed Chemistry Program to achieve professional distinction. A member of the International Committee of the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association and the society of Cosmetic Chemists, she spent nearly five decades in the cosmetic industry developing products for more than 40 countries and received several patents.
