Color is an important aspect of
the identity of any institution. Monmouth
College's official school colors, selected in the late 19th century, are red and white. The official colors are identified by the Pantone Matching
System, an international printing color reference system that provides
accurate methods of matching and selecting colors.
The official Monmouth College
red is PMS 201. When printing on uncoated stock, PMS 193 may be
substituted for PMS 201, to produce a more brilliant red.
The choices involved in the production of publications
are many. Because of the many
different paper, ink and other design options, the use of the official colors is not required, but when possible
they are a great choice.
