ZICCARDI EXHIBIT TO GO ON DISPLAY IN
EVERETT GALLERY FEB. 21
Release
Date: February 18, 2000
The paintings of Jill Ziccardi will be on display at Monmouth
College in the Len G. Everett Gallery from Feb. 21 through March 24.
An artist’s reception and public lecture will be held March 2
at 6:30 p.m. in the gallery, which is located on the upper level of Hewes Library. Currently,
Ziccardi is teaching an Internet course to Monmouth senior art students, and her March visit
will give her a chance to meet her students, who will submit their final projects at that
time.
Ziccardi’s exhibit is entitled "Sugar and Spice and
Everything Nice: Issues and Artwork on What We Call Women." Her exhibit and appearance will
help the college celebrate Women’s History Month.
The artist received her bachelor of fine arts from Carnegie
Mellon University and her master of fine arts from the The School of the Art Institute in
Chicago. Ziccardi lives in Chicago and is involved in various teaching projects throughout the
city, including one for parents and children who normally wouldn’t spend time in the Art
Institute.
The Len G. Everett Gallery is open during regular library
hours. There is no charge for admission.
