MONMOUTH COLLEGE COMMUNITY DAY TO FEATURE PUNT, PASS & KICK COMPETITION

Monmouth College's Fifth Annual Community Day celebration has
gotten a bit bigger this year with four sporting events scheduled as well as the NFL Gatorade
Punt, Pass & Kick competition.
The day begins at 9 a.m. when the Fighting Scots volleyball
team hosts their annual Monmouth College Invitational at Glennie Gym.
Activities at Bobby Woll Memorial Field includes the NFL
Gatorade Punt, Pass & Kick competition at 10 a.m., the Monmouth College Pipe Band at 12:30
p.m. and the Fighting Scots football season opener against Eureka College at 1:30 p.m.
Registration for the NFL Gatorade Punt, Pass & Kick will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is open to
boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 15 as of Dec. 31, 2001. Participants need to present
proof of age and a parent's signature at registration.
From 11 to 1 p.m. the Monmouth College M-Club will serve a
value meal of a hot dog, chips, brownie and pop for $2. Door prize drawings will be held
during the football game and free face painting and balloons for the kids will be offered.
The Scots will also open their soccer season with a pair of
matches at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park. The men will host Cornell College at 1 p.m. while
the women entertain Upper Iowa University at 3 p.m.
Admission is free to all of the events at Community Day.
