MC CHILDREN'S THEATER PRODUCTION IS OPEN TO PUBLIC

Monmouth College’s children’s theater class will perform the short play “The Smartest Woman in
the Kingdom” Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. in the college’s Wells Theater.
Elementary students in Monmouth’s public schools will see the play free of charge on Nov. 16
and Nov. 19 at their respective schools, but other area children and their parents are invited
to attend the special Saturday performance. Admission is $1.
The
play lasts approximately 35 minutes and tells the story of a female knight in shining armor
who saves her kingdom from the clutches of two villains named Caroline the Cruel and Duncan
the Devious.
Vicki
Kunz, a senior theater major from Lake in the Hills, Ill., is directing the show. Professor
Jim De Young is the project supervisor.
