LeSuer Nature Preserve is Topic of Next Monmouth

Associate professor of biology Ken Cramer
will be the speaker at the next Monmouth Associates on Feb. 21 at noon in the Highlander Room
of Monmouth College’s Stockdale Center.
The Associates program is free; lunch

Cramer’s talk is entitled “New
Developments at the LeSuer Nature Preserve: What’s a Nature Preserve For?” It will explore,
among other topics, the many ways that the community can become involved in the preserve,
which is located next to Peacock Memorial Athletic Park on the northeast corner of town.
The 15-acre tract was given to Monmouth
College in 1997 by the late William and Arlene Snow LeSuer, 1942 graduates of the college.
A free shuttle van, which leaves from the
northeast quadrant of the Public Square at approximately 11:55 a.m., is available to bring
guests to Monmouth Associates. The van will return to the square immediately following the
program. Shuttle reservations should be made by calling the above number.
