Spring Choral
Concert at
Monmouth College is Feb. 25th

The Monmouth College music department will
hold its annual spring semester choral concert on Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the college
Auditorium. Admission is free to the event, which will feature the Concert Choir, the Chamber
Choir and the String Ensemble.
The Concert Choir, which is open to all
students on campus, will sing pieces by Gabriel Faure and Egil Hovland, among others. The
Chamber Choir, a new selective vocal ensemble, will present the works of several composers,
including Stephen Lias and Dimitri Bortniansky. Both groups are under the direction of
assistant professor of music Perry White. The newly-formed String Ensemble is directed by
music lecturer Carolyn Suda.
