"Reading in Reading" is Topic of MC International Luncheon

Monmouth College students Koren Hammond and
Megan Horst will present the first International Luncheon of the spring semester Feb. 20 at
noon in the Highlander Room in the college’s Stockdale Center.
Hammond, a senior from Santa Claus, Ind.,
and Horst, a junior from Chicago, were two of a dozen MC students who took part in last
summer’s “Reading in Reading” program, studying children’s literature at the University of
Reading in England. During their presentation, they will highlight some of the main activities
from the course and relay experiences they shared while living with a British family and
traveling throughout England.
The presentation is free and open to the
public. Lunch featuring international food is available. Tickets for the meal can be purchased
for $5 each at the Stockdale Center office.
