Spring Choral Concert set for Monday at Monmouth
College

MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College’s popular annual
Spring Choral Concert, featuring the Concert Choir and the Freshman Men’s
and Women’s Chamber Choirs, will be held on March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the
Dahl Chapel and Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Opening the concert will be a special performance
of the Monmouth College String Ensemble, under the direction of Carolyn
Suda, lecturer in music. Also featured this year is a new choral group at
the college, the ClefNotes, which is a student-led ensemble featuring a
cappella music.
The Concert Choir and the Freshman Men’s Choir
will perform under the direction of Perry White, associate professor of
music. The Freshman Women’s Choir is directed by Brett Wolfe, a 1990
Monmouth College graduate who is dean of students at Galesburg High
School.
