MC faculty members to speak about DNA at Monmouth
Associates

MONMOUTH, Ill. — Patricia Draves and James Godde,
both members of the science faculty at Monmouth College, will speak on
“DNA: How It Changes Lives” at Monmouth Associates on Feb. 19 at noon in
the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the college’s Stockdale Center.
“It changed the course of science and medicine,”
said Draves in an interview given last year for a story on the 50th
anniversary of the discovery of DNA. “It’s a bigger discovery than
penicillin. It’s improving people’s ways of life.”
The program is free; a buffet lunch costs $6.50.

A free shuttle van will transport passengers from
downtown to all luncheons. The van leaves from the northeast quadrant of
the Public Square at approximately 11:55 a.m., and returns immediately
following the program. Shuttle reservations should be made by calling the
