MC’s Capener, students to discuss recent Japan trip at Associates

MONMOUTH, Ill. — Don Capener, Monmouth College assistant professor of political economy and commerce, and four of his Business 190 students will be featured at the next Monmouth Associates luncheon program on Feb. 17 at noon in the Highlander Room of the Stockdale Center.

Entitled “Monmouth College Invades Japan,” the talk will recount the highlights of a week-long trip to Japan that Capener and a group of 10 Monmouth students took in early January. Accompanying Capener at the podium will be Allissa Woloshyn, a senior from Hawthorn Woods, and juniors Lindsay Bero of Batavia, Olivia Heaton of Monmouth and Nick Olendzki of Monmouth.

The program is free; a buffet lunch costs $6.50. Please call 309-457-2316 to make luncheon reservations.

A free shuttle van will transport passengers from downtown to all luncheons. The van will leave from the northeast quadrant of the Public Square at approximately 11:55 a.m., and will return immediately following the program. Shuttle reservations should be made by calling 309-457-2316.
